Earlier this month, the Fusion team stepped away from our desks for one of our regular Fusion Days, which take place several times a year. These moments are an important part of how we work, giving the team dedicated time to come together, reflect and plan with intention. This latest session was hosted once again at the wonderful Retreat at Elcot Park near Newbury, which is fast becoming a home from home for us.
Reflecting on a standout year
We began with a full review of 2025, taking time to recognise everything the team has achieved together. From winning awards and launching our free monthly regulatory intelligence bulletins, to onboarding new clients, expanding existing partnerships, and welcoming new members to the Fusion team, it’s been a year of real momentum.
We also reflected on how we have strengthened our understanding of AI and its impact on the pharmaceutical landscape, ensuring we remain informed, thoughtful and pragmatic in how we support our clients in this evolving space. Our ways of working with AI were also reviewed, with more detail on that coming up in a separate article.
Planning with focus and creativity
The second half of the day shifted firmly into planning mode. With a mix of sharp focus and creative thinking, the team mapped out the year ahead, setting clear goals and priorities to ensure we continue delivering consistently excellent outcomes for our clients.
Key areas of focus include:
- Staying ahead of regulatory intelligence for both clients and the wider community and continuing our monthly Regulatory Intelligence emails (sign-up link here)
- Hiring new team members to meet growing demand (an announcement coming soon…)
- Being selective about the events we attend, while continuing to speak at conferences and share important regulatory messages
- and last, but by no means least, our core client work
With the full year mapped out, the team has a shared, focused vision and a clear plan for delivering it.
Recharging together
After a full and productive day, there was time to unwind and enjoy Elcot Park’s facilities, followed by a relaxed and enjoyable evening meal. The next morning brought a well earned lie-in and a leisurely breakfast before everyone headed back to their desks for the afternoon feeling energised, aligned and ready for the year ahead.
Fusion Days are a regular feature of life at Fusion, and this one was a timely opportunity to reset, reconnect and refocus. With our goals set and our direction clear, we are excited about what the months ahead hold for our clients, our community and the Fusion team.
